Our Metz branch at Mahlakung Mall

Our Metz branch is at Shop 27A, Mahlakung Mall, Trichardtsdal. It is our branch for Metz, Trichardtsdal and Sekororo families, and our nearest branch to Burgersfort. You can see granite colours, compare designs and start your order without going to the factory first.

The tombstone itself is made at our own factory in Nkowankowa, where Thabaletsi has cut and finished granite since 1997.

The branch is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00 and on Saturday from 08:00 to 13:00.

Installation for Burgersfort cemeteries

Installation is free within 100km of the nearest Thabaletsi branch. Beyond 100km, a travel charge applies. The charge is shown on your written quotation, never added on the day. Tell the Metz team the name of the cemetery and they will confirm the distance for you.

The family arranges the cemetery permit, and our team will help with any information the cemetery needs for it. Because the permit has to be in place first, we can't do same-day installations. If the gate is locked, please arrange the key for the installation day.

What changes the price

  • Design and size: a larger stone or a full set uses more granite.
  • Single or double: a double tombstone carries two names.
  • Granite colour: each colour is a different stone, so compare the samples in the branch.
  • Extras: photo engraving, a ledger, a vase, cladding, tiles or building work are quoted separately.

Our guide to what a Thabaletsi tombstone price includes explains the included items and the usual extras.

Comparing quotations fairly

If you are comparing Thabaletsi with other suppliers around Burgersfort, compare like with like. Check whether each quotation includes VAT, lettering, curbs and installation, and whether travel to your cemetery is shown. Ask if the price is for granite, and which colour. Ask who makes the stone and whether you will see a proof drawing before cutting. A written quotation that lists every item is the best way to see what you are really paying for.

Making the trip worthwhile

If you are coming from Burgersfort, a little preparation saves a second trip:

  • choose two or three design codes online and bring them with you
  • bring the full names and dates, copied from an official document
  • know which cemetery you are using
  • if possible, bring the relatives who will help decide on the wording

The team will prepare a proof drawing that shows the shape, colour and wording. Check it carefully as a family before you approve it. We make the tombstone once it is paid in full, and we do not offer same-day installation.

Planning before the festive season

Many families want the tombstone settled before everyone comes home for the festive season, so October to the year-end is our busiest time. If that is your plan, come in now to choose a design and order. Please book before 15 December 2026, our last day to see families this year. We reopen on 11 January 2027. We cannot promise a completion date at the time of ordering; the branch will talk you through the next steps honestly.
